Dr. Cait Van Damm is a person who empowers bodies.
As a holistic occupational therapist and experienced yoga teacher, she is passionate about promoting self-care to achieve health. Her specialty is in pelvic health and non-pharmaceutical management of chronic pain. Cait also has many years of experience in pediatrics and emphasizes mindfulness and sensory integration to achieve emotional regulation.
Cait has been teaching yoga for six years, and continues to love the intricacy of bodies and the miracle of how they work. In 2017, she earned her doctorate of occupational therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She is a hard core anatomy geek and loves teaching students and clients about their own bodies. She is presently on the faculty of two yoga schools (Hudson River Yoga, Poughkeepsie, NY, and BeBhakti, Beacon, NY) as an anatomy instructor for yoga teacher trainings.
Cait received a 200-hour training from Yoga Sanctuary in Northampton, MA, and completed her 500-hour certification at Shakti Yoga in Woodstock, NY. She has completed multiple specialty trainings, including Levels I-III of Little Flower Yoga (NYC) and Leslie Howard’s 20 hour Pelvic Floor Yoga Teacher Training. As a therapist, she has completed Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Level I and IPA's Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Function Level I class.
When she is not teaching or working as an OT, Cait loves hiking and cooking with her husband and their awesome dog, Blue.
